Paul Sr
When I crossed over 50, I started thinking a lot about retirement. I think you need to plan ahead, not just for having enough money and minimal debt, but also in terms of what you're going to do! I mean, how much golf can you play? I think you need a passion--something that gets your butt out of bed because you're eager to start the day! Maybe writing, photography, mentoring? Anybody have ideas? crabcatcher
I say never retire. Why would you? If you enjoy what you are doing, at least stay at it part time and the other time travel and explore the rest of the world.
ivorykeys
Unfortunately, not everyone has the gift of being to work wherever they please. Although if you do love where you work, there's no harm in asking the company to let you work from home. Then home can be where you please. If it were up to me I'd say Tel Aviv, Lisbon, or Barcelona. What kind of destination are you being called to?

Definitely travel a ton, too!
